any of you out there have any luck treating recurring UTI with acupuncture?
I'm in a life phase where I've been getting a UTI/bladder infection every couple of months. Last time was pretty severe-I resorted to antibiotics and it took three rounds to clear my system. Three months later I'm feeling the symptoms again and have started D-mannose, herbs and acupuncture.
Any advice? I don't want to dose up with antibiotics again.
thank you.

If this is recurring, you should address the root which necessitates a full intake, but for acute situations, try Ba ZhenG Wan (a patent remedy in pill form) with a high dosage 10-15 pills 3x/day until symptoms subside. This formula is for DampHeat pouring downwards - frequent, burning urination.
Be careful to get the right one, Ba Zheng (NOT zhen) Wan
    * DO NOT use if pregnant!

I just started acupuncture treatment for recurring UTI's. I have had them for almost 9 years and in the last few years they come back every few months. They are horrible! Anyway, I have been getting acupuncture treatment for 5 weeks and so far I have had no UTI's. I am also getting chiropractic treatment. I was tired of taking antibiotics constantly and developing yeast infections etc.

The cool thing about acupuncture is that you can't go wrong. It wakes the body up and your body heals itself. Its hard to explain...but I think it is the best thing I have discovered in years. I strongly rec. it!
